NRMCA's ConcreteWorks 2022 will feature two keynote speakers, with former Colorado Senator Cory Gardner offering his thoughts on sustainability and resilence and Dave Mattson of Sandler Training giving a primer on NRMCA's overall theme for this year's event.

Gardner served in the Senate from 2015 - 2021, earning a reputation as a respected voice in matters related to energy, technology, cybersecurity, government, geopolitics and economics. He previously was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 2005 where he was recognized for his expertise in natural resources, energy and agriculture policy. Sen. Gardner was then elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010, serving as a member of the Majority Whip Team, House Energy Action Team and House Transition team. His legislative efforts focused on renewable and traditional energy, technology and cybersecurity, government reform and accountability, and protecting our nation’s resources. He currently serves as a member of the Strategic Advisory Group to United Launch Alliance (ULA) and is chairman of the National Victory Action Fund.

Sen. Gardner graduated summa cum laude from Colorado State University and received his law degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to public office, he worked at his family's implement business and the National Corn Growers Association. He later took a position as a legislative assistant for Senator Wayne Allard (R-CO) and quickly advanced to the role of general counsel and legislative director.

David H. Mattson is the chief executive officer and president of Sandler. He's a best-selling author, sales and management thought leader, and leader for sales training seminars around the world. Mr. Mattson oversees the corporate direction and strategy for the company’s global operations, including sales,

Since joining Sandler in 1988, Mr. Mattson has guided the firm to its position as a global provider of sales and management training with over 230 operating units in 30 countries.

Sandler named Mr. Mattson its CEO in 2007. During his years as CEO, revenue from the company’s Corporate Training Division has increased by 53 percent, international revenue by more than 145 percent and total company revenue by 35 percent. He has written seven books, including five best-sellers, on the topics of sales, sales leadership and entrepreneurship.
