Ohio Audience Hears About Market Potential of Concrete Roundabouts

NRMCA Senior Vice President, Local Paving, Phil Kresge recently presented at a virtual seminar hosted by the Ohio Concrete Association (OCA). The program, Design and Construction of Concrete Roundabouts, was well received with over 150 engineers and municipal officials attending. The event was organized and managed by OCA Northwest Promotion Director Wayne Moening.
“There are currently over 8,800 roundabouts in use in the U.S. and it is estimated that another 500 could be added annually for the foreseeable future. It is certainly a target market that deserves attention,” Kresge said.
The presentation highlighted the benefits of using concrete pavement when constructing a roundabout. Additionally, roundabout pavement design considerations and jointing recommendations were discussed.
