The Pave Ahead team is excited to announce that two new pieces of promotion collateral are now available at paveahead.com.

  • Concrete Results: Full Depth Reclamation with Cement Slurry highlights the experience Salt Lake City has had using Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) with cement slurry delivered in a ready mixed concrete truck as part of the city's pavement rehabilitation plan. According to John Coyle, PE, city right of way manager, a 6-inch base of pulverized/stabilized asphalt topped with a 6-inch portland cement concrete pavement has performed very well while saving about 30% when compared to conventional R&R of the asphalt pavement and aggregate base.
  • A new slideshow/video, Trucks Demand Concrete, is an update of the PCA/NRMCA 4-page flyer of the same name. The 1:20 minute video highlights the benefits of concrete pavement for warehouse and distribution centers and is the latest in new collateral being developed to support the Pave Ahead Tactical Paving Promotion Plan. “With the current e-commerce boom, the demand for big-box warehouses is growing exponentially,” reports NRMCA Senior Vice President, Local Paving, Phil Kresge. Estimates are that the U.S. will need another 1 billion square feet of warehouse space by 2025. “The building footprint on many of these projects will be several hundred thousand to just over 1 million square feet. The pavement potential on each project could be twice as large. The new Pave Ahead initiative is focused on capturing our share of that market,” Kresge noted.
