Recently, NRMCA Vice President, Local Paving, Don Clem and his colleague Phil Kresge traveled to Puyallup, WA, to present a Parking Lot Boot Camp to NRMCA Producer members Miles Sand and Gravel and Caliber Concrete. Clem presented on ACI 330 and Concrete Overlays while Kresge focused on targeting key markets as well as providing in-depth training in NRMCA's Concrete Pavement Analyst software and Design Assistance Program (DAP).

NRMCA is already working on a DAP for a logistics center project in Sumner, WA. An NRMCA Parking Lot Boot Camp is a 10-hour program held at a contractor or producer’s site. Parking Lot Boot Camps create a team approach for producers and contractors to pursue parking lot opportunities in their market area, including new parking lot construction or concrete overlays of asphalt parking lots. The program has become widely successful in helping everyone - producer and contractor - expand their business into paving markets that they normally did not have or only had a small percentage. They are conducted by the NRMCA Local Paving Team.

If you would like to learn more about boot camps, contact Don Clem or Phil Kresge.
