NRMCA Vice President, Local Paving, Phil Kresge recently met with representatives of the design and construction division of Sheetz, Inc. Kresge was joined by Ken Crank, director of concrete promotion for the Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association (PACA). Historically, Sheetz has used concrete pavements for its convenience stores, and Kresge and Crank sought to reinforce the concrete industry's position. They also discussed sustainability, including the concept of insulating concrete forms (ICF) construction.

Based in Altoona, PA, Sheetz is a convenience store chain that operates 553 stores in several Mid-Atlantic states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
