NRMCA Discusses Pervious Concrete Before Utah Audience

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

NRMCA Senior Director, Local Paving, Ken Justice, recently traveled to Salt Lake City where he spoke at the annual pervious concrete roast held at Bunyan Industries and the local AGC office. Topics covered included combating the effects of deicing materials, new admixtures and polymer additives that help with durability and deicing resistance, and improved installation techniques. Two pervious concrete placements were made using some of the additives discussed; one at Bunyan Industries' parking lot (image on right) and the other at the AGC office parking lot. The roast concluded with a meeting of the NRMCA’s pervious concrete committee, hosted remotely by Phil Kresge, NRMCA vice president, local paving, and in person by Dave Frentress of Cal-Portland.
