Heard From the Hill

Earlier this year the Biden Administration issued an Executive Order on America’s Supply chains, which focuses on the supply chains for several groups of commodities and services, with the goal of strengthening these supply chains. One of the listed areas was the production of agricultural commodities and food products. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has opened comments requesting information on America’s food supply chain, and NPMA will be providing comments on the essential role pest management plays in ensuring that food, as well as the facilities that process and sell it, are kept pest free. The rule originally called for comments this Friday, but USDA has made the decision to extend an additional 30 days to allow interested parties time to prepare comments.

News From National

June 6, 2021 is World Pest Day, a multinational event established to raise awareness among the public, government and media about the important role that the pest control industry plays in protecting health, food, property and the environment from pest health threats. Join pest control professionals across the world in recognition and celebration of the invaluable impact the industry has on our everyday lives and well-being. NPMA has developed an exclusive toolkit of turnkey materials for members to use in their own publicity efforts on the international awareness day. The toolkit contains a customizable press release, Facebook and Twitter cover photos as well as profile frames, and suggested day-of social media content. NPMA members can access the toolkit here.

In Memoriam

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of David Cooksey, former co-owner of McCall Service and retired United States Air Force Colonel. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the “Bayside Wounded Warrior Fund.” Nicole, Beau, Jon, Luke and Kelly intend to use contributions to this account to address education and other support needs of military spouses and families that find themselves grieving the loss of a service member. The family will select and make awards aligned with what they know Dave would have done. Donations should be made payable to the Bayside Wounded Warrior Fund LLC, and sent to: Attn: Andrew Wilfong, 1048 Anchor Road, St. Johns, FL 32259.

Members Make Headlines

Since we couldn't have a large gathering of people for our company cookout our management team tracked down our people in the field to give them a gift card for lunch and some cold drinks.

Here are some of the pictures we captured. We appreciate all of our team members here at Scherzinger!
