Heard From the Hill
In January, EPA announced that it intended to codify product performance data requirements for products claiming efficacy against certain pests, including wood destroying insects, public health pests and certain invasive species.  Following a long delay, the Agency published the proposed rule to the Federal Register last week.  The proposal would officially incorporate the EPA’s Product Performance Guidelines into the registration requirement for these pest groups. NPMA is engaged with industry allies and regulators to represent the interests of the structural pest control industry on this issue.

The pest management industry was declared an essential industry almost immediately during the pandemic; we have been working hard to keep Americans safe during a very uncertain time. With vaccinations now available to essential workers in almost every state, it is important for the industry to have the facts about vaccines. NPMA has prepared a resource guide to help guide your workplace and you in making the right decision about the vaccination.
