The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) has released a new Vector Sectors™ list of the top 10 U.S. cities with the greatest risk for increased pest pressure from vector pests, including ticks and mosquitoes.
As vectors of disease, these pests are able to transmit pathogens such as Lyme disease and West Nile virus to humans through their bites, making awareness and prevention paramount to protecting public health.
Just in time for back-to-school season, PPMA has released updates to its children’s website, PestWorldForKids.org, featuring improvements to its design and functionality, and new teaching materials. The educational website now boasts a revamped Critter Crafts section with downloadable instructions and new navigation and categorization of its learning materials by grade level. Brand new content has also been added to attract an audience of young learners, ages three to five for use in daycare, preschool and Pre-K programs, and at home.
Industry members are invited to share this ad-free, friendly children’s resource on their social media pages and with their communities. Mainframe subscribers also have access to a downloadable badge that they can add to their company website to proudly display their affiliation with promoting early childhood education and support of PestWorldForKids.org.
