Last week, NPMA staff participated in the American Association of Pesticide Control Officials Annual Meeting in Alexandria, Virginia. NPMA was represented on three panel discussions as part of the program. The first was Advancements in Pesticide Labeling: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, in which a panel from the industry talked about past successes and future direction for pesticide labeling. NPMA shared our experience working closely with ASPCRO and SFIREG to amend pyrethroid label language changes in 2013. In the second panel, titled New Technology and Unintended Consequences, NPMA described the current state of affairs with regard to spray foam insulation and termite inspections. Finally, on the third day of the conference, NPMA communicated about our concerns regarding the Regulation of E-commerce, with particular focus on the availability of restricted use pesticides to uncertified purchasers online.  View the complete meeting agenda and presentations
