This week, NPMA staff attended the annual Malaria Champions Breakfast, hosted by United to Beat Malaria, which is a global grassroots campaign of the UN Foundation that brings together a diverse set of partners, influencers, and supporters across the U.S. and around the world to take urgent action to end malaria. At the event, attendees heard from Sen. John Boozman (R-AR), who is the Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, and Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS).
Also this week, NPMA staff attended a meet-and-greet with Rep. Gabe Vazquez (D-NM-2), who is a freshman Congressman on the House Agriculture Committee. Events like these are a great way for NPMA to introduce ourselves to newly-elected members of Congress and discuss the great work that the pest management industry is doing to protect food, health, and property.
