Charles Henry Turner – a Forefather of the Industry

In celebration of Black History Month, NPMA invites you to learn more about Charles Henry Turner, courtesy of The Marginalian. A leader in the field of entomology, Turner was the first to prove insects can hear and distinguish pitch, and the first scientist to achieve Pavlovian conditioning in insects. His vast body of work provided evidence that insects are endowed with memory, problem-solving ability, learning, and feeling.
