Earlier today, NPMA’s annual Legislative Day event kicked off with the Association Leadership Forum sponsored by Corteva, with record-setting attendance of nearly 140 joint state leaders participating in the virtual Forum.

This year’s session was moderated by Bonnie Rabe of Rollins and focused on a panel discussion lead by Andrea Coron (VPMA), Ted Brayton (NEPMA) and Bill Welsh (MPMA). The topic of conversation centered around advocating for the structural pest management industry amid COVID-19 and specific issues and solutions states have developed to connect with state legislators during these trying times.

Following the Forum, attendees heard from our first keynote speaker, sponsored by Corteva, Nathan Gonzales, as he provided a great perspective on the current political landscape. The afternoon concluded with an interactive Legislative briefing update sponsored by Control Solutions, Inc., and a caucus networking event to connect and prepare attendees for their virtual Hill visits occurring tomorrow, sponsored by FMC, BASF, Bayer, Corteva, and Syngenta.

Thank you to all who participated today, your voice is essential in making an enormous impact on the future of pest management. We wish you good luck on your Hill visits tomorrow!

If anyone not currently registered is interested in joining us tomorrow, please email Ashley Amidon at aamidon@pestworld.org.
