Dr. Niamh Quinn with the University of California Cooperative Extension, Orange County has created a website to collect data about the current range of roof rats.  The Southern California Urban Rodent Research Initiative (SCURRI) has multiple urban rodent projects including a project to better define the current distribution of roof rats.  If you are encountering roof rats, especially in areas that are outside the historical range of this pest, please consider visiting https://www.ucscurri.com/ratsurvey to provide data that will benefit the entire pest management industry.
