ORLANDO, Fla. (June 10, 2019) — Massey Services, the nation’s fifth largest pest management company and the largest privately held family-owned company in the industry, is pleased to announce they have received three National Signature Awards from the Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA).  The company received first place in the following categories:  Best-in-Show, Events & Workshops and Promoting Plan Participation categories.

The Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA), part of the American Retirement Association, assists more than six million plan participants and provides members with programs and services to help them manage their company’s retirement plans.

The company earned Best-in-Show accolades for its “Let’s Taco-Bout Retirement”TM campaign, which was developed by Chepenik Financial. The goal of the campaign was to motivate team members to think positively about their retirement plans.  The campaign encouraged participation and motivated team members to increase savings rates. The campaign used a local taco truck and meal vouchers in addition to an on-site educational counselor to provide information to team members.

The Events & Workshops category recognized the company for their focus on maximizing attendance at their 401(k) meetings.  Additionally, the Promoting Participation award was received for Massey’s communication about the importance of enrolling in their 401(k) program as well as the shared metrics on improved participation.

“We are honored to be recognized with these awards,” said Tony Massey, President of Massey Services.  “The health and welfare of our team members is very important and providing a comprehensive 401(k) program has been a very strong focus for our company.”

For the 28th consecutive year, Massey Services made a match to team members enrolled in the 401(k) program in 2018. The company’s contribution was $0.62 for every eligible dollar each team member contributed to the program, up to a maximum of six percent.

“Over the past five years, we have seen an increase in participation by 57 percent,” said Jean Grono-Nowry, Executive Vice President and CFO of Massey Services. “I am extremely proud to share we are now at a 94% participation rate. Our end goal is to have a 100 percent program participation.”
