Last week, EPA hosted the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee in Arlington, Virginia. The full meeting agenda and meeting materials can be accessed here.

EPA reported to the committee regarding the “soft roll out” of the Smart Label program to a limited number of registrants. This program is intended to help streamline the registration process and provide increased efficiencies for EPA regarding label development and product registration and will support future endeavors regarding web-distributed labelling in the future. The meeting also included an update from the Public Health Working Group, on which NPMA is represented. This workgroup is developing recommendations for the full PPDC regarding the creation of an EPA Office of Pesticide Programs Emergency Response Plan for dealing with future emergencies, whether they be natural, man-made, or public health-related.

NPMA continues to be an active member of the PPDC, for a list of all PPDC members, click here.
