NPMA continues to pressure Congress to pass a Farm Bill and to include provisions NPMA favors. Staff met with House Agriculture Committee staff and the offices of Senator Tina Smith (D-MN) and Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) to discuss our key issues. Additionally, NPMA supported a letter Representative Bob Gibbs (R-OH-7) sent to the Big 4, outlining the need for the pesticide preemption language, and specifically focusing on the West Nile Virus outbreak in Ohio.
