Last week NPMA Policy Staff participated in the American Association of Pesticide Control Officials (AAPCO) Industry Relations Workgroup. The group debriefed on topics that were discussed during the State FIFRA Issues Research and Evaluation Group (SFIREG) meeting that took place last Monday and Tuesday at EPA. Pertinent topics to structural pest management professionals included, updates on regulatory reform in the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill, current status of EPA’s “smart Label” initiative, progress of AAPCO’s 25b’s workgroup, and discussion of products ingredients disclosure. The next SFIREG and AAPCO workgroup meeting will take place the first week of December 2018.
