2018 State Legislative Session Kicks-Off

The 2018 legislative year is underway, and legislation that threatens the industry continues to multiply in state legislatures. The NPMA Public Policy team has analyzed over 1,000 pieces of legislation this week, and we’ve never been more ready for the challenges that lie ahead. The structural pest management industry has positioned itself well because we have an army of State Policy Affairs Representatives (SPARs) and Vice-SPARs who are already advocating on behalf of the industry in state capitols across the country. NPMA SPARs understand those who are involved in politics the least, lose the most. Their steadfast dedication to the industry and eagerness to engage lawmakers is arguably the industry’s greatest public policy weapon.
