On March 14, Administrator Scott Pruitt signed an order further extending five rules an additional 60 days from the March 21st regulatory freeze, first issued by President Trump in January.  Included in the five rules is the Certification and Training rule, which was initially finalized under the Obama administration in January and scheduled to be effective on March 6th.  NPMA has worked closely with our members, industry allies, the EPA and state regulators since September 2015.  The additional time should lead to better coordination with state regulators. The Certification and Training rule will now be effective on May 22, 2017.
