NPMA’s Leadership Development Group Gives Back in Seattle

During PestWorld 2016, NPMA’s Leadership Development Group (LDG) hosted the LDG Gives Back program. With 15 participants, the group volunteered at Mary’s Place, a local homeless shelter for women and children.

During their visits to two of the downtown Seattle locations, the volunteers assisted in organizing donations, assembling furniture, cleaning and organizing the pantry and visiting with residents. The hard work was much appreciated by Mary’s Place and the volunteers left with a sense of accomplishment in being able to make a difference in the local community.

In addition, a new program, "PestWorld Gives Back", was created to collect donations from attendees to aid a local charity each year during PestWorld. This year, diapers and coloring books were collected for Mary’s Place and all donations were provided to the center at the conclusion of the conference. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and donated! To learn more about NPMA’s LDG, visit www.npmapestworld.org. Click here to learn more about NPMA’s LDG.
