For this award-winning project, Living Design Studios built and installed one-of-a kind baffles and bulkhead cladding for an impressive 7-level atrium. The focal point of the atrium is the skylight and baffle system that diffuses sunlight throughout the space. Bulkheads are clad in aluminum, while the 'cloud-like' baffles are crafted from 3form (per Living Design Studios' recommendation to the client).

The team organized and installed hundreds of individually shaped waterjet cut panels, and invented tools and processes to hoist and install at a height of 110 feet, with assistance from two lifts functioning in tandem. Each piece was treated with great care during the fabrication, delivery, and installation process.

With work occurring at over 100 feet up, and a slim 85-day completion window, the challenges were significant. But the team rose above the hurdles and created artistic, functional pieces that culminated in a prominent focal point for an atrium that will benefit the community and occupants for years to come.
