The 2017 IT Forum Conference: A Mile-High Success

With more than 300 industry experts in attendance, the 2017 AGC IT Forum Conference, August 3-4, 2017, in Denver, Colorado was a stunning success. For two days, attendees networked, participated in live panel conversations and collaborated in group discussions to help shape the future of Construction IT.

"This year's conference was a very good use of my time," said Luther Burrell, vice president, administration and IT at Ivey Mechanical Co. "I came away with a wealth of knowledge and was challenged to be a better resource to guide Ivey thru the ever-changing technological world we live and work in."

Keynote speaker Nathan Wood, an innovation thought leader in the AEC industry, kicked off the event with an engaging discussion on driving innovation in the construction industry. From there, the momentum continued to grow as key topics were addressed: cybersecurity, integration, innovation and ROI, to name a few.

"I get more good ideas in two days at this conference every year than I do the other 363 days of the year combined," said Charlie Brawner, director of IT at Tweet/Garot Mechanical. "It's a lot of the best Construction IT brainpower in the same room, and you get an opportunity to hear their best ideas, then bring them back to work with you."

Many of those ideas no doubt come from the ever-popular Affordable Solutions session, which is an open discussion on tried-and-true answers for everyday IT challenges.

"The 2017 AGC IT Forum is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in Construction IT to collaborate and focus on technology," said Daniel Perez, MIS director at MCM. "The speakers and vendors present all provide valuable information regarding the current and future state of affairs of our industry. This forum is also a great opportunity to network and build relationships that improve our trade as a whole."

With each passing year, the IT Forum Conference attendance grows, as word travels through the industry about the top-notch program delivered, innovative ideas presented and takeaways provided.
