Email Archiving

Q. What is everyone using for email archiving? We have used GFI MailArchiver for the longest time and are looking into other software/devices. We are running Exchange 2010 and our current stores are at 900 gb. Do you have a large store? Also, how many mailbox servers do you have?

A. Symantec Enterprise Vault here. It's a good product and can be as sole or complex as you would ever need. We also have dabbled with the file server archiving piece as well as own licensing for their E-discovery product which has paid for the entire solution in one claim by letting us cull through the data instead of paying a legal team to do it at $$$ per gigabyte.

A. Commvault Email Archiving. We made the move to Commvault about a year ago, and because of the licensing agreement, archiving came with it. The product does work very well when you get it up and running, although it presented some challenges getting it configured like we wanted.
