Hosted Email Services

Q: I would like to know what hosted e-mail services companies are using out there.  We just lost our in-house exchange server (12 users) over the weekend but we are back up and running now.  Our data was safe but what we did not plan for was how quickly we could get the server back up.  We believe a hosted e-mail service may be beneficial to a company of our size.

What are some good alternatives to an in-house exchange server?

A: Office365 would probably be the smoothest transition, and for a smaller organization, very cost effective.

A: I have been doing some cost comparisons based on 150 users (see attached PDF). Hope this will help.

A: Curious why you didn’t consider office365 in your analysis?  I am pretty sure the costs falls within these parameters but not quite as low as Google.

A: Office 365 with the Hosted Microsoft Exchange component is $4.00 per user for the full user with 25GB. You also have the option of a Kiosk worker for the field which is OWA access for $2.00 per user.   This is hosted by Microsoft and can have single domain sign in etc.   Works good. A: Other great benefits of Office 365 is to bundle your Office licenses, IM and SharePoint for a low cost.  When looking at the big picture it is probably the best option for hosted Exchange.

A: I have used Rackspace.com's hosted Exchange platform. It's very easy to get setup and their service is very good for transition support.
