WILLIS TOWERS WATSON CONSTRUCTION SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARDS BREAKFAST

Yesterday morning AGC of America and Willis Towers Watson honored 47 construction firms at the Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) breakfast — where camaraderie wins over competition and people over projects. Keeping the spotlight on construction workers coming home safely every night is of utmost importance, and that’s what the CSEA program does. Fifteen firms received third-place honors. In addition, there were 16 second-place winners and 16 first-place award recipients. From the first-place winners, the "best of the best" or grand award winner was selected. The 2022 recipient is Choate Construction Company. Congratulations to Choate and all the winners!

AGC ECONOMIC ISSUES OUTLOOK, LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY OVERVIEW

On Wednesday morning at the highly anticipated and well-attended economic outlook, legislative and regulatory session, AGC staffers Ken Simonson, Jimmy Christianson, Jim Young and Leah Pilconis, along with CEO Steve Sandherr, gave the audience a comprehensive industry rundown. From a snapshot of the economy to AGC’s work on workforce development, the PRO Act, vaccination mandates and OSHA standards, it's clear AGC has been hard at work and continues to keep its finger on the pulse of any and all issues affecting the construction industry.

CELEBRATE CONSTRUCTION! PARTY

It was the event everyone's been waiting for: the AGC’s Celebrate Construction! Party, held at the Glass Cactus, the only lakeside venue of its kind in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It provided the perfect backdrop for the Cowboy Pop-themed evening of delicious food, drinks, music and dancing. It should be no surprise to anyone that AGC got it right in Grapevine.
