More states lost construction jobs in May than at any point since June 2011 as 30 states experienced annual job losses and 27 states and D.C. lost jobs during the past month. Chapter News

Forrester Construction Company, an AGC of Metropolitan Washington D.C. member,  was recently awarded a $35 million contract to fully renovate the interior of the World Bank’s H Building located at 600 19th Street, NW, Washington, DC. Construction fit-out work will be performed on all floors of the 12-story building over a total area of approximately 400,000 square feet. In a compressed schedule of seven months, construction was slated to begin the final week of May 2012 with main work to be completed before the end of the year.
