Tarlton Promotes Hutchison to Project Manager

Tarlton Corp., a St. Louis-based general contracting and construction management firm and a member of multiple AGC chapters, promoted Jill Hutchison, LEED® AP, to project manager.

Previously serving as senior project engineer, Hutchison has worked on many high-profile Tarlton projects, including the renovation of the historic building at 700 Market St. in downtown St. Louis for the Koman Group and The Laclede Group. Tarlton’s work on the distinctive building, one of the younger buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, garnered a 2015 Construction Keystone Award from AGC of Missouri.

Hutchison is working on the Tarlton-Interface Construction joint venture team on the Cortex Innovation Community building at 4260 Forest Park Ave., and on the Evogene Blending & Ingredients Inc. laboratory relocation and renovation at the Wexford Science & Technology BRDG Park Building 1 multi-tenant building in Creve Coeur, Missouri. She also served on the Tarlton team for the inpatient bed unit/inpatient pharmacy addition for BJC HealthCare at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Missouri.

After serving as a Tarlton intern in 2006, Hutchison joined the company full time as a project engineer the following year. She earned her Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional designation in 2008, granted by the U.S. Green Building Council based on demonstrated knowledge and experience related to sustainable building design, construction and operation. She is also certified with the American Society for Healthcare Engineering.

"Jill demonstrates what strong project management is about, contributing immeasurably to the success of numerous organizations through her knowledge and experience," said Tarlton project executive Andrew Kovarik. "She’s been instrumental to Tarlton’s growth and success."

Hutchison holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla.

In business since 1946, Tarlton Corp. is a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise that completes projects for wide-ranging clients in the life science, health care, institutional, commercial, power and industrial markets, as well as concrete and hydro excavation/industrial vacuum services.
