Batson-Cook Breaks Ground on Abbey Glen, New Multifamily Project in West Point, Georgia

Batson-Cook Construction, an AGC of Georgia member, recently broke ground on the initial phase of the Abbey Glen apartment complex in West Point, Georgia. The $4.8 million multifamily facility will span 75,000 square feet across three buildings.  Two- and three-bedroom units will be offered in each of the three-story structures.

"West Point, the home to Batson-Cook since its founding almost 100 years ago, is experiencing unprecedented growth," states Batson-Cook Senior Vice President and General Manager Joe Appleton.  "Building Abbey Glen helps the Greater Valley Region to accommodate this growth and enhance the community in which our employees work and live."

Scheduled to complete in late 2015, Abbey Glen will provide residents with luxury finishes as well as amenities including a pool, clubhouse and exercise facilities.

Batson-Cook is working with owner Abbey Glen, LLC, engineer Harris Gray, LLC of West Point and Auburn Bank of Valley, AL to complete the first phase.  Construction on the remaining phases will follow annually, increasing the number of units in Abbey Glen and including retail space.
