Sundt Construction Expands its San Diego Team

Sundt Construction, Inc., a member of multiple AGC chapters, recently added five new team members to its San Diego office. Amber Simonson, Rudy Teh, Thomas Lopez, Tom Oliver and Ron Eldridge will join the R.J. Donovan Correctional Complex team in Otay Mesa, California. The $169 million joint venture project with Layton Construction is expected to break ground in 2015.

Simonson, hired as senior project engineer, brings more than nine years of project manager experience within the San Diego construction industry. In her role, Simonson is the technical source of information for the project, providing expertise in construction engineering technology, codes and standards.

A Sundt team member since 2007, Teh has worked on many influential projects, including the $25 million John M. Roll United States Courthouse project in Yuma, Arizona.

In his role, Lopez oversees project procurement, forecasting, contracts, scheduling and estimating. He will join the Corrections Corporation of America - Otay Mesa Detention Facility team and the R.J. Donovan project later this summer.

Oliver, a project superintendent, transfers to the San Diego office from Sundt’s Irvine office this August. A Sundt team member since 2009, Oliver currently is working on the Western University Student Housing project in Pomona, California.
