Paul Rollins Joins BOND as Project Engineer

BOND, a leading Boston-based construction manager and an AGC of Connecticut and Massachusetts member, announced recently that it has strengthened its project delivery team with the addition of Paul Rollins, PE, LEED AP as project executive. Paul is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, with a degree in civil engineering. His 30-year career includes construction work for clients spanning the academic, healthcare, and biotech industries.

Paul has completed projects under a wide variety of delivery models. His portfolio includes Lawrence & Memorial Hospital’s $30M, 50,000-sq-ft Oncology Center and Medical Office Building, delivered under an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach, incorporating Lean construction methodologies and cutting-edge Virtual Design and Building Information technologies. He also delivered the 217,000-sq-ft, ground-up construction of Millenium Pharmaceuticals Building completed under two separate GMP contracts, and honored as R&D Magazine’s "Lab of the Year."

Paul’s healthcare clients also include Baystate Medical Center, where he completed the 641,000-sq-ft "Hospital of the Future," composed of a cutting-edge heart and vascular center, new emergency department, and intensive care unit; Heywood Hospital, for which he built a $27M emergency department addition; and North Shore Medical Center, where he delivered a $30M phased renovation of patient beds, intensive care unit, and imaging unit.

Major academic work includes the construction of Smith College’s LEED Gold-certified Ford Hall Engineering and Science Building and Harvard University’s Laboratory for Integrated Science and Engineering, as well as in-depth preconstruction planning for the one million sq-ft Harvard University Allston Science Complex.

"Paul’s extensive experience in the academic and healthcare markets is strongly aligned with BOND’s strategic growth plan, and we are excited to have him on board," said Robert Murray, BOND president.

Since 1907, BOND has been involved in some of the region’s most complex vertical and horizontal construction projects. With two distinct groups, operating as construction managers for academic and healthcare clients, and self-performing general contractors for the power and energy industry, BOND is well known for delivering reliable, safe and high-quality work. The Building Division has completed high-profile projects such as Harvard University’s Northwest Science Labs and MIT’s famed Media Lab in Cambridge, and the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge for the American Cancer Society in Boston; while the Civil & Utility Division has successfully completed two of the largest regional underground high-voltage electrical transmission line projects in New England’s history.
