Brasfield & Gorrie Completes Critical Access Hospital in Mississippi

Brasfield & Gorrie, a member of multiple AGC chapters, recently announced the completion of the new Baptist Medical Center-Leake in Carthage, Mississippi. This new hospital is owned and operated by Baptist Health Systems in Jackson, Mississippi.

The 54,690-sq-ft, 25-bed critical access hospital includes an emergency department, radiology suite, specialty clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, patient wing, dietary and food services area, and ancillary spaces. The facility also includes state-of-the-art amenities, such as a new 16-slice computed tomography scanner.

Brasfield & Gorrie teamed with Dean and Dean/Associates architects on this $14 million construction project for Baptist Health Systems. The project began in November 2013 and was completed ahead of schedule.
