C.W. Driver Promotes Mike Byrne

C.W. Driver, a premier builder serving California since 1919 and an AGC of California member, has announced the promotion of Mike Byrne, LEED-AP, to senior vice president of operations in the firm’s greater Los Angeles area. In his new role, Byrne will oversee client relations and all C.W. Driver projects in Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire.

"Mike’s industry expertise and leadership capabilities make him the ideal selection for this position," said John Thornton, president of C.W. Driver. "In this expanded leadership role, I am confident Mike’s unique understanding of how our clients operate will fuel our efforts in these growing regions."

As an expert in the higher education and entertainment industry, Byrne is currently overseeing several projects in the Los Angeles area, including Loyola Marymount University Life Sciences Building and the NBCUniversal - Universal City Broadcast Center.

Byrne has directed a variety of projects, including the Sony LOT and Office Transformation project consisting of two state-of-the-art sustainable class-A office buildings on Sony’s Culver City campus; Chapman University Argyros Forum Addition; Extron Electronics new corporate headquarters which included The Ranch Saloon & Restaurant; DreamWorks Lakeside Annex Office Building and Parking Structure; and the DreamWorks 1400 Seaport relocation in Redwood City, Calif.

Additionally, Byrne has led projects in the civic and healthcare industries, including the City of Newport Beach Civic Center and Park; Kaiser Permanente Foothill MOB TI in Pasadena; Kaiser Permanente Meridian MOB TI Build out in Riverside; and Jewish Home for the Aging Grancell Campus in Reseda neighborhood of San Fernando Valley.
