Each year, AGC of Tennessee's Knoxville Branch holds a Tonkas for Tykes toy drive to benefit the Mission of Hope charity that provides toys and other resources to families in rural Appalachia. Even in an economically challenged year for the industry, members' contributions were overwhelming. There were 71 toys with an estimated value of $1,000; an additional 252 toys were purchased with cash donations that totaled $2,627.

A special thanks goes to Anna Heins, A G Heins Co., and Lauren McCauley, Modspace, who helped shop and deliver the toys to Mission of Hope. Due to the generosity of AGC of Tennessee members, children in Appalachia will enjoy a better Christmas.
