Intermountain Electric, Inc. Hires BIM / VDC Project Manager

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME), a member of multiple AGC chapters, recently announced the addition of Ed Watson as building information management / virtual design construction (BIM / VDC) project manager.  Watson will be responsible for the development and implementation of BIM / VDC in projects, offering advantages such as better profits, less rework, reduced project duration and the ability to offer new services.  With substantial experience in electrical construction, Watson has contributed to many notable projects in industries such as healthcare, solar, telecommunications and industrial.

"I have been in the construction industry for over 33 years, and it is evident that BIM / VDC has brought a new era of accuracy, quality and sophistication for the building industry," said Ed Watson.  "I feel blessed to be a part of a company that recognizes this and emphasizes a synergistic team environment on a daily basis.  Life is good at IME. "  
 
Watson most recently worked with CAD and BIM for an electrical construction firm in Denver.
 
"The industry is continuing to invest in a more efficient and productive future by embracing the technologies and processes of BIM / VDC," said Rex Wiederspahn, vice president of IME.  "We are excited to supplement this undertaking with our resources and know that Ed will aid us in this effort."
