President Sylvester Appoints Board Work Groups
NYSAFC President Frank "Skip" Sylvester appointed several new work groups at the association's most recent board meeting.
"Changes in our fire service are being driven by both internal and external forces at a high rate of speed," said Sylvester. "We need to make sure we devote the time and energy as board members to stay ahead of the curve."
NYSAFC members are encouraged to reach out to board members with their ideas and interest on these issues. Contact information for each board member can be found here.
The following new work groups were created:
- PPE Cleaning and Maintenance: John Tighe and Joe Fahd
- New Revenue Streams for Fire Protection: Don Corkery and George Rivers
- Real Time Code Data for First Responders: Julius Leone, Jim Staffo, and Dan Schwertfeger
- Membership Benefits: Julius Leone, Harold Smith, and John Sroka
