More Hands-On Training Available at FIRE 2011

NYSAFC is pleased to offer the 2-Hour Live Fire Hands-On Training Program "Flashover Simulator Evolutions" during FIRE 2011 at the Turning Stone Resort.

This intense evolution is designed to provide students with the tools and experience they need to recognize and react to the signs of a firefighter’s worst nightmare, flashover. In controlled circumstances students will be taught to identify the precursors of impending flashover – significant free burning, rapid heat development that drives you to your knees, and thick, heavy smoke conditions often with flame rollover. Seasoned instructors will teach you how and when to react to save yourself by cooling, venting, or escaping the fire compartment.

This program will be conducted on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during FIRE 2011 on-site at the Turning Stone Resort grounds.
