The 9-11 Commemorative Chin Strap™ is now available to fire departments in New York.

The 9-11 Commemorative Chin Strap™ provides a meaningful, tangible, inclusive way for departments to honor those lost. The straps provide a visual and permanent reminder to the upcoming generation of firefighters and their children that something very momentous took place here and if we don’t remain vigilant, it can happen again. Symbols are important reminders of where we’ve been, how we got there, and who did it... and the 9-11 Chin Strap is just such a symbol.

The New York State Association of Fire Chiefs is honored to be joining the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and many other state fire service associations in making available the 9-11 Commemorative Chin Strap™ to its membership. We encourage you and your department to be part of this effort to insure the memory of those we lost and continue to lose to 9-11 stays alive and relevant.

The 9-11 Chin Strap is available in gold, silver, and black. It is adjustable and will fit almost any cap. The strap is not available to the public. To access the program, click here or use the special form below.

The straps sell for $12.95 (your choice of color). $5.00 of each strap bought in New York will be rebated back to NYSAFC. $1.00 of each strap sold across the country will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation's September 11th Memorial Fund.
