2024 Firefighter Risk Reduction MiniGrant Recipients Announced

This year, in partnership with NYSAFC, PERMA awarded $50,000 to 10 fire department that are members of both organizations to help them purchase gear washers and dryers. This equipment will aid in reducing the risk of exposure to carcinogens.
Congratulations to these awardees: Barnard Fire District (Monroe County), Brighton Fire District (Monroe County), Buchanan Fire Department (Westchester County), Cincinnatus Fire District (Cortland County), Groton Fire Department (Tompkins County), Horseheads Fire Department (Chemung County), Piseco Volunteer Fire Department (Hamilton County), West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company (Town of Queensbury - Warren County), West Islip Fire District (Suffolk County), and Woodmere Fire District (Nassau County).
