Clinton County Firefighters Association Celebrates 75th Anniversary

The 75th anniversary celebration of the Clinton County Firefighters Association was held on July 15, 2023, at the Clinton County Office of Emergency Services in Plattsburgh, NY. The organization was formed on July 18, 1948, and serves members from New York, Vermont, and Quebec, Canada.
 
Festivities included induction of 25 individuals into the CCFA “Lifetime Service Hall of Fame.” Honorees included many members of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, including Past President James King (Keeseville Volunteer Fire Department), Past Director George Rivers (Rouses Point Fire Department), Conference Committee Vice Chairman Richard Akey (Dannemora Fire Department), Alfred “Butch” Rougeau (posthumously – Au Sable Forks Fire Department), Michael Cahoon (Chazy Fire Department), Robert Peryea (posthumously – District No. 3 Fire Department), Kenneth Brelia (Peru Fire Department), and Wallace Day (posthumously – South Plattsburgh Fire Department).
 
Congratulations to the members of the Clinton County Firefighters Association on this milestone.
