2019-2020 NYSAFC Officer Candidates Announced

The NYSAFC Nominations & Elections Committee announces the following slate of candidates for 2019-2020 and voting guidelines for an association election.

President: 1-Year Term
Chief Robert P. Parese – Little Falls Fire Department

1st Vice President: 1-Year Term
Chief Lee Shurtleff – Groton Fire Department

*2nd Vice President: 1-Year Term
Chief R. Scott Ewing – Plattsburgh District #3 Fire Department
Chief Robert R. Kloepfer Jr. – Floral Park Fire Department
*The committee, finding both Chief Scott Ewing and Chief Robert Kloepfer qualified for the position of 2nd vice president, recommends an election be held between these two candidates.

Director – Career: 3-Year Term
Chief Mark Strzyzynski – Henrietta Fire District

Directors – Volunteer: 3-Year Terms
Chief James E. Hare – Hilton Fire Department
Chief Anthony V. LaFerrera – North Babylon Fire Department
Chief Timothy E. Boel – East Greenbush Fire District #3

NYSAFC Voting and Election Guidelines
Voting for the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs election will be held during the 113th Annual Conference & FIRE 2019 Expo at The Oncenter in Syracuse, N.Y. on Friday, June 14, 2019, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. in Room 8. You must be an Individual Active Member (dues paid 30 days prior to the Annual Meeting), have joined the association 90 days prior to the Annual Meeting, and have government photo identification with you in order to vote in the election and on association matters.
