Drug Overdose Map
The University of Chicago, in concert with the USDA, has developed an interactive online map of drug overdose deaths in the United States. The map is searchable by multiple parameters and drills down to county level information. Access the map here.
Degree Requirements for Paramedics
Several fire service organizations have drafted position statements opposing proposed requirements for entry level paramedics to have a college degree. The International Association of Fire Chiefs EMS Section has assembled a toolkit for fire-based EMS leaders to oppose the entry level degree requirement, which is being placed on multiple state legislative agendas.
