NYSAFC Member: $235 / Non-Member: $285 / per person, per session

In this program, students will measure fire flows and discover what a rig is capable of on the fireground with and without additional water supply. Participants will learn how to determine the water supply capability of a department with and without hydrants, understand the true numbers to flow to accomplish goals, and use equipment to its full capability. This program is designed to challenge both engine and truck companies in dealing with a hoarding situation under fire conditions. Whether it’s the butcher shop in town, the auto repair shop on the corner, or the farm down the road, the potential for machinery rescue incidents is everywhere. In this program, rotations will cover tool familiarization, torch use, size up, and lock-out/tag-out. Students will participate in scenarios that involve meat grinder entrapment, hand/finger entrapment, fence impalement, auger entrapment, and real machinery. You don’t have to be in a heavily industrial area to encounter these incidents.
