NYSAFC Mourns the Loss of Past Executive Director John W. (Jack) Lamboy

NYSAFC is saddened to announce the passing of association Past Executive Director John W. (Jack) Lamboy. He led the association as executive director from 1991-1992, previously served as assistant executive director from 1984-1991, was the editor of NYSAFC’s SIZE UP magazine, and served on the Conference Committee for many years. A life member of NYSAFC, Lamboy joined the association in 1967. He was actively involved in the association’s advocacy efforts for home fire sprinklers.

Lamboy was a life member and past chief of the Best Luther Fire Department and a member and past commissioner of the East Schodack Fire District. He previously served as Rensselaer County director of emergency services, was the owner and chief executive officer of the New York State Fire Consortium, and served as a fire inspector with the New York State Department of Health.

We honor Jack Lamboy for his service to NYSAFC and the fire service of New York state. Our sincere condolences to the Lamboy family. A full obituary is available here.
