NYSAFC Appoints Administrative Assistant

Megan L. Aurelia joined the NYSAFC staff on October 30, 2017, as administrative assistant. In this capacity, she will coordinate board and committee meetings, provide general staff support, and perform a wide range of duties at the association office.Aurelia has many family connections to the fire service and has been a social member of the Ravena Fire Department in Albany County since 2011. She implemented a scholarship program at the department and also serves on the Public Relations Committee and the Fundraising & Events Committee. Aurelia is also very active in her community and is a vice president of the RCS Community Library Board, which serves Ravena, Coeymans, and Selkirk, NY.
She joins the NYSAFC staff after working in the health care field for nine years. Aurelia earned a bachelor of arts degree in European history and a master of arts degree in history from the University at Albany (SUNY).
