EMS Safety Program Guide
The National EMS Safety Council, a consortium of 12 fire and EMS organizations, recently published a Guide for Developing an EMS Agency Safety Program. The guidebook is a roadmap for EMS services to develop and implement a comprehensive workplace safety program customized to their department or agency type, size, and needs. The booklet can be downloaded here.
New NIMS Materials Released
FEMA rolled out a refresh to the NIMS system on October 17, 2017. The new materials clarify EOC roles and terminology and update materials to reflect experiences and drills over the past eight years. Materials and information on the updates are available here.
