Unless you live in a cave, you've no doubt heard rumblings that critical incident stress debriefing (CISD) is not as effective as was once believed. Chief officers and departments are being encouraged to adopt psychological first aid (PFA) as the modern day, more effective, and proven approach when dealing with critical incidents.
