Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Technology Conference, including our attendees, exhibitors, and live demo sponsors! This year's conference gathered 80 association executives and industry partners for a full-day of educational sessions, networking, exhibits, and live demos. Here are just a few of the takeaways attendees left with:

I attended the NE/SAE 2018 Technology Conference, and I will definitely attend again next year!

The speakers and panels were very informative, and I particularly benefited from all of the time allotted for networking with colleagues from other association groups. I have at least two follow-up calls I’ll be making to continue the conversations. And, I will definitely download some of the apps suggested by the keynote “nerd” Beth Z!

There were some very clear messages reiterated throughout this year’s conference, but the two that resonated most with me were captured by these two statements by different speakers:

“A member’s [technology] expectation
is based on their last online experience.”

That statement is punctuated by the fact that millennials already have high expectations regarding technology, and many last online experiences may be on amazon.com.

“If you are active in my association and on
my website, my website should be listening!”

My organization uses Memberclicks (MC) as our AMS. One of my goals is to research how marketing automation software can work in conjunction with MC to help us “listen” to our website visitors, and then take it a step further and “talk” back to them about topics they want to hear. (Personalization was another theme during this year’s conference.)

If anyone is interested in my experience with Memberclicks, please contact me.  Likewise, if anyone is using marketing automation software with MC and would be willing to share that experience, please contact me as well.
