We need you!

NE/SAE is currently looking for volunteers for the following committees and task forces:

Member Value Committee

The Member Value Committee conducts personal outreach to nonmembers, new members, and active members, promoting the benefits of membership and researching new ways to bring value to our members. The committee meets quarterly via conference call and/or in-person and assists with implementing our nonmember buddy program at our major conferences. 

Education Committee

The Education Committee sets the overall educational strategy for NE/SAE's many conferences and events, including the Annual Meeting, Annual Management Conference, and Technology Conference. The committee meets quarterly via conference call and/or in-person and assists on-site at NE/SAE conferences and events. 

2019 Annual Management Conference Task Force

Help plan the 2019 Annual Management Conference at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center. As part of this task force, you'll participate in two to three conference calls, review past conference evaluations, brainstorm speakers and topics that address NE/SAE members' educational needs, and assist with speaker introductions at the conference.

ASAE has announced that Andrew Cronin Finn, MSc, MBA, executive director of the New England Society of Association Executives, and Renee Russo, executive director at McKenna Management Inc., have earned the certified association executive (CAE®) designation. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry.

To be designated as a certified association executive, an applicant must have a minimum of five years experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. To maintain the certification, individuals must undertake ongoing professional development activities in association and nonprofit management. More than 4,300 association professionals currently hold the CAE credential. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

The next CAE exam will be held on Friday, Dec. 7. The deadline for applications is Friday, Sept. 28. Click here for additional information.

We're excited to announce that NE/SAE's 2019 Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30, 2019, at the beautiful Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod.
