A Strong Return to In-person Events

As we closed 2022, we are grateful to all of the associations, companies, and organizations that chose to host events at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. As we started 2022, our calendar, like many others in our industry, looks sparse but by the end of the year our calendar of events was one of the best we have seen. Thank you to all who put your faith in us to safely and successfully host your events. We were able to bring back the remainder of our furloughed staff and are at full operation again!

In 2022, the MassMutual Center hosted 205 events – 102 in the convention center and 103 in the area. For those planners who are still contemplating returning to full, in-person events, we suggest moving forward with your events. As a full service convention center, we can provide not only state of the art meeting and tradeshow facilities, but also so many of the ancillary services that many times need to be outsourced. Our in-house support departments include: A/V, Technology Services including hi-speed Wi-Fi for Broadcasting and Hybrid events, Production Services including Staging, Lighting, Sound, Special Effects and Digital Signage, Marketing Services, Ticketing Services, and of course our Full-Service Catering And Concessions Services.

For groups that require overnight accommodations, we partner with the Greater Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau who will act as your liaison to the hotel community when sourcing room blocks. Additionally, the GSCVB can provide destination information including transportation, dining, and area attractions.

All under one roof, the facility boasts over 100,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 40,000 square-foot dividable Exhibition Hall, elegant 15,000 square-foot ballroom, pre-function areas with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city skyline, and spacious meeting rooms encompassing an additional 8,352 sq. ft. of breakout space that can be used separately or in a variety of combinations to fit the most complex meeting agenda.
